|The Management board of Eximbank has revised interest rates paid on term deposits of individual clients.
The Management board of Eximbank at its meeting dated February 20, 2006 has adopted a decision to decrease once again, from March 15, 2006 the interest rates paid on term deposits with fixed interest rate attracted from individual clients. The interest rate changes will apply to the term deposits for 1, 3, 6, 9 and 12 months both in the local and foreign currencies and do not apply to the term deposits opened before March 15, 2006.
As a result of these changes the annual interest rates paid on term deposits for 1, 3, 6, 9 and 12 months will be respectively as follows:
At the same time the bank establishes minimum deposit amounts for opening term deposits with fixed or floating interest rates. The minimum deposit amount will be MDL 2000 for deposits in Moldovan Lei, USD 200 for deposits in US Dollars, EUR 200 for deposits in Euro.
- In Moldovan Lei: 3.0 %, 8.0%, 12.0%, 12.5% and 14.0%
- In US Dollars: 1.0 %, 5.0%, 6.5%, 6.7% и 7.5%
- In Euro: 1.0 %, 3.0%, 5.0%, 5.5% и 7.0%.
From March 15, 2006 the interest rate paid on the “Pension” deposit in Moldovan Lei will also be
Diminished to 14.5 % p.a.
Additionally, the same Executive Board meeting adopted a decision to reduce from April 1, 2006 the interest rates on floating rate time-deposits attracted from individuals in Moldovan Lei for 24 and 36 months to 14.5 % and 15%, in US Dollars to 7.0 % and 7.25%, in Euro to 6.0% and 6.5%.
