|Eximbank Executive Board at its meeting on March 11, 2005 adopted a decision to change, starting April 1, 2005 the terms and conditions for the banking services provided to individual and legal customers.
According to the adopted changes, maximum fee for international transfers in EURO or other hard currencies except USD (option OUR) will be reduced to 200 EUR. The option “OUR” assumes that of all fees and commissions are paid by the ordering bank. The bank will also decrease by 0.2% the commission for cash withdrawals from foreign currency accounts.
Simultaneously, the commission for amendment of payment instructions or return of remitted funds in foreign currency will be increased.
From April 1, 2005 the commission for registration and processing of outgoing wire transfers in MDL, issuance of check-books, duplicates of bank documents and certificates will also be increased. At the same time, the bank will not charge additional fees for urgent execution of outgoing wire transfers in national currency. Hence, irrespective of the transfer amount an outgoing wire transfer in real time mode will cost customers 2.90 MDL.
At the same meeting the Executive Board adopted a decision to decrease the interest rates paid on the available daily balance of the clients’ current accounts in national currency. Starting March, 16, 2005 the bank pays 0.1% p.a. on the available daily balance of current accounts exceeding 250,000 MDL, and on the available daily balance on card accounts - 2.0% p.a. irrespective of the amount.
The decrease in interest rates is caused by the liquidity surplus in the banking sector as well as by the current macroeconomic trends on the financial market of the Republic of Moldova, leading to decrease in interest rates paid both on attracted funds and granted loans.
