|This fact was mentioned at the extended meeting of the Board of Directors JSCB "Eximbank", which took place on January 21, 2005. At the event President of the Bank Mr. Marcel Chirca reported the preliminary results of the bank’s development in 2004.
In the reporting year the bank’s balance increased by 275.1 mln. MDL (73.0 %) and as of January 01, 2005 totaled 651.9 mln. MDL. In percentage, it was the largest growth in the banking system. As a result of the prompt growth of assets, there was an increase by 1.2 per cent of JSCB "Eximbank" assets in cumulative assets of the banking system of the country, and by the volume of assets the bank moved to the seventh position.
The loan portfolio has grown by 158.9 mln. MDL (77.3%) up to 364.5 mln. MDL. In percentage terms the growth of the credit portfolio of the bank also was the most dynamic in the system, and it has allowed JSCB “Eximbank” to increase the share of its market of crediting by 1.3 per cent and to move to the eighth place in the system.
By the absolute volume of the deposits attracted in 2004 – 241.9 mln. MDL, JSCB "Eximbank" holds the third place, having conceded only to the largest Moldavian banks such as "Moldova-Agroindbank" and "Banca de Economii". As a result, JSCB “Eximbank” has increased the share of its market by 1.4 percentage points and has moved up to the sixth place by the volume of the attracted deposits. Fast growth of deposits was due to attracted deposits from individuals (increase by 160.9 mln. MDL or 101.4 %).
By volume of the deposits attracted from individuals in 2004 the bank holds the second place, having conceded only to "Moldova-Agroindbank". As a result JSCB "Eximbank" has increased the share of its market by 1.9 per cent and moved to the sixth place by the volume of the deposits attracted from individuals by the banks of the Republic of Moldova.
The meeting mentioned a successful territorial development of the bank in 2004. During the last year, territorial network of JSCB "Eximbank" has added 6 new branches and
25 representative offices located in the capital city, and various areas of the country.
