|On 27th of December the last meeting of the JSCB "Eximbank" Council in the year 2002 has taken place, where the decision of convening an extraordinary General Shareholders' Meeting was adopted, with the purpose of approving the budget and business-plan for 2003.
President of the bank's Board of Administration, Mr. M Chirca has presented a report to the Council, concerning the preliminary results of the bank's activity in the year 2002. The report states that 2002 has been a very successful year for the bank. Therefore in the reporting year the bank has became a principal member of the international payment system "MasterCard International" and an associate member of the international payment system "VISA International", having started the issuance and maintenance of credit and debit cards in the framework of the given payment systems. Also the bank has put considerable effort for intensifying the activity in the agricultural and small enterprises crediting project, conceived by the International Fund for agricultural Development (IFAD) and the UN.
According to preliminary results, we may conclude that in 2002 "Eximbank" has fulfilled the basic required indicators from the Business-plan for 2002. The bank's assets have increased with 80.1 mln MDL (40.4%) and constitute at the present date 278.7 mln MDL. The registered ROA was 4.6% and the ROE - 24.4%. in the reporting period the bank has granted a common amount of credits of 496.3 mln MDL. The bank's credit portfolio has increased with 31.6 mln MDL (32.8%), reaching a total of 127.8 mln MDL. The aggregate surplus of bank's attracted resources has increased up to 159.0 mln MDL, i.e. with 51.2 mln MDL or 47.5%. The individuals' deposits have increased with 39.2 mln MDL (99.7%), and corporate clients' deposits - with 12.0 mln MDL, or 17.6 %, weighting respectively 78.4 and 80.6 mln MDL.
At the present date the bank 12010 customers: 3482 corporate clients and 8528 individuals.
